Wellness Journalist + Editor
I've written about the man responsible for growing Michigan's largest pumpkin, told the story of New York maple producers adapting to climate change with sustainable technologies, shown the greater need to adopt plant-based diets in order to save the planet, and published many other stories. But I'm only getting started.
I'm also committed to health and wellness culture, and most importantly, showing others the simple ways in which they can lead healthier, happier lifestyles. Within my writing, I hope to show that wellness is not one-size-fits-all, help individuals discover the form of fitness and style of eating that’s best for them, and make healthy living easily understandable and attainable for all.
I'm a graduate of Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications with a bachelor's degree in Magazine Journalism and minor in Food Studies. During my time at Newhouse, I was awarded the Maria Riccardi scholarship for an outstanding junior woman in Magazine Journalism and the William Glavin Award for Excellence in Magazine Writing. My senior year, I represented the class as one of two Newhouse Student Class Marshals, and my article "Sweetening the Climate Change Deal" received an Honorable Mention for Local Climate Change Reporting from the Associated Collegiate Press.

Currently, I'm an editor at Equinox, as well as a freelance journalist for health, wellness, and lifestyle publications. Prior to my current role, I served as the assistant editor at SHAPE.com, primarily covering exercise tips, fitness modalities, workout trends, nutrition, and more. I'm also a certified personal trainer through the American Council on Exercise.
My written work has been published by HuffPost, SHAPE.com, mindbodygreen, LIVESTRONG.com, POPSUGAR, Well+Good, Women's Health, Wide Open Spaces, The Nessie, BYRDIE, Equinox, Health.com, SAVEUR, Hour Detroit, and Give Detroit, among others. My page layout designs have been published in Hour Detroit, DBusiness, and Detroit Home magazines.
When I'm not searching for my next great story or working in InDesign, I can be found taking road trips across the continent and taste-testing every ice cream spot I come across. So far, nothing has beaten The Fix's maple coffee soft serve topped with chocolate-covered espresso beans in Toronto.
